I have been using the plugin for a long time. However, recently I switched to a WordPress block theme. Now I can no longer use widgets. I am waiting for a solution to this.

I tried to use this feature but only the standard avatars from wordpress were displayed

The plugin didn’t work on my site.
Still works and can be GPDR compliant
If you set the “Use Gravatar” to “unchecked” it does not send all of that data to WordPress. We like the ability that we can craft our own Avatar sets and control the exact style of the images.
