It maybe abandoned but as of 5.8.2 it still works for me using WP-Weaver Xtreme theme.

Don’t waste your time. Trump voters apparently designed this plugin. You can click that “hide feature post” all you want. I’m pretty sure that just makes your feature image more visible somehow. It ju
