Weird: the excerpts are replaced by the TOC of the posts – and there’s nothing you can do about it. It appears this plugin is not tested out carefully.

Install it. You have page excerpts. Don’t want to see them? Uncheck the same box in Screen Options, that you would with post excerpts. I use it with Genesis Featured Page Extras.
