Excellent for beginner entrepreneurs in the US
Works great for most cases. It auto fetches and calculates the state (US) and an additional county or city sales taxes. It also takes into account regions without taxes within states that do have tax.
Hidden Jetpack dependency and blocked for “regulated” stores
Nowhere in the description does it say the plugin depends on Jetpack, yet support informed me that it uses Jetpack’s backend services. That means I’m forced to follow Jetpack’s terms even though Jetpa

Worst Tax Service for Woo Ever
Probably one of the worst WP plug-ins in existence. For such a large company the should be ashamed. Does not calculate tax properly at all. Support is non-existent. I’d find a different soltution…
Lack of Plugin Updates to stay current with Woocomerce
The lack of updates to this plugin is crazy. It’s literally printing novels of PHP Deprecated warnings in my debug log. Considering switching because of it.
Payments fail if there is no active subscriptions!
We had a trial period which ended and instead of bypassing the taxjar, woocommerce would throw fatal error and users would not be able to finish payment. Very poor code plugin, not recommended
