The current version works as described. Leaving the URL blank in the settings causes a redirect to the home page… just what I want.

Bare-bones and simple – but it does what it says. There may be other similar plugins with more robust features, but if you want a simple way to eliminate the “oops, this is embarrassing” problem, this will do it. Thanks Jordi!
