For some reason my Yoast was not respecting the “primary category” and creating multiple instances of duplicate content when a post was in more than one category. I just installed this and hit “save” on the basic settings and the problem was resolved. Fast, easy, and WORKS, can’t do better than that. Thank you!!
Doesn’t work with blog paginations

I was hoping to solve the blog pagination problem on WordPress where the pages are /2/, /3/, /4/ etc. and supposed to canonical link to the blog homepage.
But this canonical plugin just links to itself always.
blog/2/ canonical links to blog/2/ instead of /blog/ even though I set it to advanced and defined my own canonical links.
Long story short, it always self-canonicals, but not to a another page when dealing with blog posts and pages. Pretty simple minded tool with no sophistication in mind.
