Once an excellent plugin, then for a year or two mostly abandoned with lacking support for newer FA styles. As of December 2025 it is now updated and active again thanks to a new contributor, supporting all the latest FA7 styles. Kudos for bringing this useful plugin back to life.
It’s one of those plugins, that does a job perfectly and discreetly, without trying to dominate the dashboard or upsell.
After adding it for yet another site, I thought I could at least write a review in appreciation, so thanks Matt, for your time and efforts, it’s appreciated.
Excellent Support
I used the plugin within my own custom plugin and was impressed with the quality of the code and the functionality of the plugin. I asked the developer for support and he got back to me within hours.
Advised.
Does what it says on the tin. I use this frequently when building bespoke solutions, and it always gets the job done.

Note: The next bigger update will have changes to the way icons are being selected when using FontAwesome 7.x to utilize new and future features from FontAwesome. Unfortunately this means we will be deprecating the “Icon Set Builder” feature to better align this plugin with the FontAwesome ecosystem. This change will only effect users using FontAwesome 7.x icons. The Icon Set Builder will continue to work as it has with previous versions of FontAwesome. We welcome your feedback on this change.
