AI Engine – The Chatbot, AI Framework & MCP for WordPress

Started to use free version in WordPress site, with Divi builder.

What I liked most was the quite simple setup and it worked with Divi builder! Just publish, and it is techinically working (with OpenAI API key of course). I love thath you can tweak the system with different AI options.

What I did not like was the hard work with AI to get free version to working properly. Also Web Search is ON by default, so you may lose some OpenAI tokens just for testing and setup.

We’ve been using this plugin for nearly a year, and what stands out is not just the functionality, but how stable and usable the system is in real business conditions. It allows us to build a structured, controlled assistant that actually behaves like part of the team – not a chatbot.

The flexibility of the prompt system, combined with consistent performance, makes it possible to run real operations through it. We’ve been able to train a front-desk level assistant that answers clearly, reduces confusion, and moves customers forward without supervision.

Setup is straightforward, updates are reliable, and the platform gives enough control without unnecessary complexity.

We’re so satisfied with the results that we’re already planning to extend the license to cover multiple websites.

This is not a toy. It’s a serious tool for businesses that want to implement AI properly.

Waste of time, any AI browser plugin can do what this does. Greed made the developer disable the option to let the AI edit the post/text directly. This effectively makes configuring the plugin a waste of time, compared to “just working” browser plugin.

Of course, the paywall is NOT a payment, it is another stinking subscription, expensive version.
Such display of greed for basic functionality, makes me even wonder if the API keys are going to be abused too, after all, it would be in line with the pricing, price model, and the general impresion.

I can’t say enough about Meow plugins – I’ve used them since forever for photography sites. If you’ve been at WordPress for any amount of time, you know the ‘gotchas’ of misbehaving plugins that subvert the paradigm. Meow has always championed clean code – this is no exception.
