Before I started using Phlox, I read so many mixed reviews, which made me undecisive and hesitant. However, this theme had the best portfolio feature for my use, so I bit the bullet and gave it a go. Maybe my website is too simple to unearth the underlying technical issues, but so far I like the simple, minimal design elements that Phlox offers and how expansive the portfolio plugin is – great for archiving works by a graphic design & printing agency. It is, however, little complex to add portfolio items as I need to go back and forth the WP default editor and Elementor to access different elements to the post.
I use this plug-in extensively on one site plus a couple other sites. This plug-in has so much potential for curating text. It could rival WooCommerce for content curation plus be easier to use because of its extensive configuration options. The thing I don’t like about this plug-in is that sometimes its testing trails WordPress releases and so sometimes it’s a little flaky to work with. Like right now, this plugin would be ideal for a new client project I’m started, but it’s in one of those flaky phases. That makes it hard to do the initial build of the site and have confidence in handing it off to the client to maintain.
After adding portfolio posts, I discovered that when adding the main portfolio page (gallery of links to individual posts) the elementor widget doesn’t work. It just shows a loading icon but will never work. It also caused me to receive multiple site error messages.
thank you so much, best portfolio for Elementor
