Beds24 Online Booking

This is both a review of the plugin and the service, the plugin is just an extension of the service and is useless without subscribing.

I was building a site for a client with a B&B and looking at many of the channel managers on the market, a lot of them seemed to be targeting bigger hotels and required you to request a quote without listing a price, so you know they are going to take you for all your worth, I was doing my research on the OTA’s also, seeing which ones give the lowest commission, booking.com was 15%, airbnb 3%, so I googled channel manager for airbnb and beds24 was ranking well for that so I gave them a look, honestly the front site isn’t keeping up with the latest web design trend/fad so I didn’t have the biggest expectations, and I was pleasantly surprised, the backend has all the functionality you need with a clear pricing structure, and everything is responsive/mobile ready. I really liked the idea that you can add an extra channel for 1 euro a month, remove it if it’s not bringing in bookings.

Pros.
-Transparent pricing.
-Relatively Easy to use.
-All the Functionality you need
-Integrates with a bunch of payment gateways to accept bookings, I was using Stripe, what’s nice is that the default have is to redirect to beds24 SSL secured page so you don’t need to pay up for a SSL cert to accept payment online.

Cons.
It doesn’t seem to be a huge company, you won’t get phone support,
but they generally respond to questions within 2-8 hours on their forum. You can submit tickets also and those usually get resolved also within about the same time.

All in all, for small establishments, this is definitely the most financially prudent solution.

It says that it is free to use.However, you must register and then you get a FREE TRIAL and afterwards you must pay. Misleading.

Much better than simply using an iframe. The plugin version embeds a responsive version that works across all devices. It’s possible with an iframe but this is just easier. Useful plugin admin screen to control the options, again much simpler than adding arguments to an iframe.

The shortcode allows some parameters to be added to embed booking form in other pages with different layouts etc.

I’ve just installed plugin a couple days ago. I’m really impressed by the number of options it provides. The plugin has been done with convenience and flexibility for the business owners.
There are some point what hard to manage and some results are unstable – but probably I just should play more to understand it.
The setup is little bit complex, because of lot of options and opportunities, but there are really good guides and manuals.
The support is fast and informative – and least 50% of my set up questions have been answered in 12 h.
I did spend a lot of time by testing different WP plugins for my small resort – and I did choose this one, even it require some subscription payments – but very reasonable ones.

We just started using beds24.com on all our websites including the bogs and I have to say we are so very impressed with the entire package and glad we had found it. The combination of the booking software with the convenience of the plugin EXCELLENT ! We already have many of our accommodation owner friends informed about this company and the great customer service Annette and Mark provide. Thanks and if will keep spreading the word.
