Since installing WpRently and several other MagePeople plugins, I have faced massive technical issues within WordPress. The software causes significant system conflicts that disrupted the entire website’s operation, eventually forcing me to deactivate all their plugins. Despite purchasing the Pro versions, the software lacks the necessary stability.

Furthermore, the marketing is highly misleading. They sell it as a “Pro” version, but there is nothing “Pro” about it. Even after paying for the premium version, you are forced to buy additional plugins for basic, essential features like seasonal pricing or creating backend orders. In my view, this business model has nothing to do with professional software.

The support team fails to provide effective solutions for these recurring bugs. I cannot recommend this plugin suite for a live environment as it jeopardizes the functionality of the WordPress instance. There are much better, more stable, and truly professional plugins available on the market. Seek alternatives elsewhere.

GOOD PLUGIN, GOOD SUPPORT

Mage People try their hardest to support, but the plugin is not reliable or stable. It made my WordPress site load very slowly and the plugin wouldn’t work properly anyway.

Now that I have deactivated the plugin my website runs fine.

If you want to rent things to people you need to buy WPRently, then if customers want you to entire their details in directly, you have to buy another add-on, in order to email customers pdfs you have to add another add-on (this one is free) and if you want to take deposits, you have to buy another add-on. So many add-ons leads to such a bloated product.

This would be fine if all of the plugins and add-ons worked well. But they don’t.

The pdf writing is so small. Orders weren’t showing in the booking calendar or booking list. A customer paid a deposit twice for the same truck on the same day because their booking calendar was broken.

Absolute nightmare. Created a lot of problems that I now need to fix up.

Spend a little more money and buy something else. I’m currently looking at Vik Rent Car. It’s looks promising.

Easy to set up, easy to use.

I’ve been using the WP Rently plugin (Pro version) with WooCommerce for an equipment rental business, and overall, it delivers on what it promises. The integration with WooCommerce is solid, and once configured properly, the plugin offers a flexible rental system that supports various booking needs.

That said, setup can be a bit unintuitive at times — particularly with regard to shipping and checkout options, which require specific item-level settings that aren’t always clearly documented. I had to escalate my support request to get a resolution, as some initial replies were affected by language barriers and made communication a bit difficult. That said, once escalated, the support team was responsive and helpful.

With a bit of patience and persistence, WP Rently does work well. If you’re looking to manage rentals within WooCommerce and can handle a bit of hands-on setup, this plugin is a good option. Just be prepared to dig into the configuration and potentially clarify things with support along the way.
