Overview
This plugin was written to take care of the invalid HTML that WordPress produces when using the [gallery] shortcode.
It does a bit more than that though. It will integrate with many Lightbox-type scripts and allow you to do much cooler things with your galleries. Plus, it has a couple of extra options that you can play around with.

This may not be needed as strongly starting from WP 3.9 but still a good choice for larger flexibility if you don’t want to override gallery code.

Clean code and design and does exactly what it says and then more. Also works well with WP Gallery Custom Links and WP Featherlight (lightbox) plugins. Very good stuff! Thanks, Justin.
