As of April 2026, ContentRemover is a WordPress hide date plugin with 1.0K+ active installations and a 3/5 rating from 2 reviews. It has been downloaded 5.1K+ times in total. Requires WordPress 5.0+ and PHP false+. Available on WordPress.org since 2024. Last updated 1 year ago — may have compatibility concerns. Download volume is stable this week.
ContentRemover allows you to selectively hide (remover) the title, date, and author information on individual posts or pages through a metabox option. Ideal for sites that need to display content without standard metadata.
Plugin Features:
– Hide post and page titles
– Remove publication dates
– Hide author (bio) information
– Customize display settings for specific post types
– Compatible with most WordPress themes
Plugin looks exactly on posts as the screenshots. Looked really promising. You add plugin easily, then on a published post I selected Hide Date, but the date doesn’t go away anywhere, not on the post itself or in the category/blog page. Bizarre. Maybe it’s a theme compatibility issue, where there’s a million WP themes but the plugin doesn’t work for random ones or something.
Great work!
