A widget that can act as a duplicate of another widget (for synchronized use in another sidebar)
Define a widget once, use it in multiple sidebars. This saves you from having to manually configure each copy of the widget and later having to worry about keeping them in sync should you ever need to make any changes. Particularly useful for those who define logic in their themes to conditionally include different versions of a sidebar depending on what template is being shown. Depending on use, it is an alternative to plugins that introduce in-widget logic to determine when widgets should be visible (Widget Logic, Section Widget, Conditional Widgets, etc).
Quick overview of what this plugin does:
It took me a bit of time before I ask myself, did someone create a plugin for that? Thank god you did it. thanks a lot.
It works with wordpress 4.0 but just by safety it would be nice if you could update it. Cheers
Ps: WordPress should incluse this by default.
Not only does this plugin no longer work in current WP versions, the author’s site, coffee2code.com, has been down for the past 5 months.
I’ve been using this plugin for a while now on some client sites and finally installed it on my own site. The width of the dropdown menu needs to be constrained, but it works and does exactly what it says it does.
this is just perfect.
Thanks for the great pluggin. I’m using this for a multi-lingual site 6 languages and with the widget logic plugin works great and saves lots of time having to only update one instance of a widget. Highly recommended.
