Overview
Embed Flash easily and standard compliant with SWFObject using only a [swf] shortcode!
In the text editor simply write something like:
[swf src=”http://www.example.com/my-flash-file.swf” width=300 height=100]
The attributes src, width and height are required
Additional attributes includes:
- params
- flashvars
- version
The attributes params, and flashvars should be written like “flashvar1=value&flashvar2=value” to function properly. If you want to specify a Flash version use version attribute. Default is 9.
To provide alternative content for people without Flash, simply put some text between the [swf] brackets, e.g.
[swf src=”http://www.example.com/my-flash-file.swf” width=300 height=100]You must have Flash to view this file[/swf]

A past developer installed this plugin for us a few years ago. Now that I maintain the site myself, forum support is essential. I’ve posted help requests in the plugin support forum and even emailed the developer personally…all with no results. If I can’t upload my swf files as planned, the plugin becomes useless. Suspect it is no longer active…there have been no updates in over 2 years.
To be fair, it does work with the original swf files. Still, sites need updating and the plugin isn’t “there” to help.

The plugin is very simpel and that is probably the reason it still works perfectly in the WordPress 4 version.
Highly recommended if you still have some shockwave files around.

Woks but is old plugin

If they retouch the plugin to a just simple version 1.1 could be perfect. not works in IOS 6
