Embed Any Document – Embed PDF, Word, PowerPoint and Excel Files

Today’s update (version 2.7.9) broke every one of our WordPress sites where it was updated. Had to delete the plugin and upload a previous version. Rare for a plugin update to torpedo the entire site anymore, so this is unacceptable.

Otherwise the plugin is useful for presenting PDFs on site pages, though often documents take too long to load.

Problem: Docs will not load unless ‘reload docs’ clicked at bottom of display area.

So I tried 2 other options for displaying docx etc this was by far the neatest particularly because it doesn’t need to keep a separate list of docs and pdfs. Shortcode is entered directly in the content panel. No need to ever copy and paste.

If you are using elementor you will need to manually copy this shortcode and enter into a “shortcode” widget on your elementor page. Or in my case copy it into a custom text field for elementor to dynamically pick up. Works perfectly. Thanks

This plugin is an invaluable alternative to posting a downloadable PDF file. This enables authors to display chapters of their books without providing a downloadable file that might be copied and printed.
