I had an issue integrating essential blocks with my blocksy theme. Specifically, the blocks were not loading correctly on my content hook pages. Eric from essential blocks was fantastic. He helped debug the issue, coordinated with then blocksy theme team, and then worked with the essential blocks dev team to create a fix for every block they have. End result was everything working perfectly. Despite this issue taking two weeks and requiring multiple back and forth, he was always professional and supportive and optimistic. I really appreciate this type of customer support. Thanks again!
Essential Blocks offers a lot of great blocks for FSE/Gutenberg themes, and most of the useful ones are free, which is awesome. They offer a lot of customization and I haven’t experienced any bugs or weirdness across multiple sites that I’ve deployed.
Like most of these freemium options though, I wish they offered cheaper pricing so that I could support them in some capacity, without having to shell out hundreds a year for features I don’t really need.
I decided to switch themes and so as a pro user of the BetterDocs plugin I decided to jump in with Flexia FSE theme. The Essential Blocks plugin adds a lot of options even with the free version. Give it a try and you’ll like it.
Tracy was amazing with fixing my issue in the footer of my widget area in the Blocksy theme! Styling for the Essential blocks Heading block did not work in the widget area, and Tracy fixed it in 5 minutes! The plugin itself is great: lots of blocks for Gutenberg, straightforward to use, and with lots of functionality and design options.
I’ve only been using the pro version of this plugin for a couple of days, but I’m impressed so far in terms of functionality. I ran into some styling issues on my site’s mobile view design, I contacted support and Florence was so helpful and tenacious to get it fixed.
