After I had to give up my old website duplication plugin because it had become unusably slow, not long after it was taken over from its original author, I tried several alternative solutions. FastDup does what I want and does it FAST! And when I reported that something was missing in the backup installation process, my report was answered within an hour and I received a customized installer the next day.
Promising – but doesn’t work

Will not connect to database. Followed instructions several times to create MySQL database, user and grant permissions.

Glad I found this! With it, I easily managed to move my 10GB travel blog from one address to another on a different webspace. Everything was backed up – database texts, images, videos, plugins, themes and even every customization I did to the html and php code on my own!
Only flaw I discovered was that emoticons in posts & comments were not backed up correctly, so I wrote a little bug report and not even 24 hours later (on a weekend!!!) I got a fixed version from the developers!
All thumbs up for this nice little piece of software! Thank you guys! ❤️
