Flexible FAQ is a very simple plugin to add FAQs (Frequently asked questions) to your WordPress site using shortcodes.
As of April 2026, Flexible FAQ is a WordPress faq plugin with 1.0K+ active installations and a 4.4/5 rating from 5 reviews. It has been downloaded 10K+ times in total. Requires WordPress 3.5+ and PHP false+. Available on WordPress.org since 2014. Last updated 11 years ago — may have compatibility concerns. Downloads are up 47% this week. Top alternative: VK Blocks.
I have created this plugin to use on my client’s websites to provide an easy FAQ section when needed. It provided much more flexibility than adding an FAQ section into the theme.
Hope this plugin would help anyone who needed a FAQ section in their website.
Shortcodes
You can add the [faq] shortcode to any page to display the FAQ section. This shortcode does accept few attributes.
for example : [faq style=”pretty”]
You can re-order the FAQ items by drag them in FAQ admin page.
I am using version 0.2 of the plugin, and I expect that it will only improve with time. The best thing about the plugin is that you can install it and start using it within a few minutes.
There are small things that could make it a little smoother, but they are minor. For example, the usage instructions are here on the plugin website and not in your installation in a help menu.
I am using your flexible faq plugin. I have updated the styles is there a way to keep this from being overwritten when you update the plugin?
Simple and Clean
This is clean and easy to use.
The style “blook” appears to not work.
The distance between the Q and A in “pretty” style is quite big
