Just came here to say that this plugin definitely DOES work, not sure what all the negative reviews are about. Its literally a one-click integration.

Worked smoothly at two sites

I’ve installed Intercom at two sites now using this plugin, and have found it to work quite smoothly, though customizing the “launcher” beyond shape and color requires working with the javascript API, which is not currently facilitated by the plugin.
