Completely re-written in version 4.2 Multicons is a multi-favicon code generator which automatically inserts the necessary meta tags for both favicons (site-wide and/or dashboard) and Apple Touch / iPhone icons. Please note that it will be necessary to update your icon link locations.

Immediately swap out for your chosen favicon. I did have to be sure to include the www ahead of the domainname.com with my server to see instant results.

I needed a way for users in a Multisite installation to change their favicons on a blog-by-blog basis without editing the theme files.
Works exactly the way I need it to. Doesn’t throw a bunch of ugly errors for no good reason. I am very pleased.
