It barely works…

4 months of back and forth with support tickets and useless time wasting.
Half of my orders have something wrong with it because of this dumb plugin.
Thousands of lines of code so complicated that I can’t figure anything out to fork it and fix things myself.
And apparently they made it so hard to work with that they can’t figure it out themselves either.
The absolutely inability to resolve any issues from their support nerds is appalling and a waste of everyone’s time.
And what’s worse. It’s the only one that barely works… So I can’t even switch to another plugin.

Payments with card and local are active but keep sending errors when trying to pay (No API key provided. (HINT: set your API key using “Stripe::setApiKey()”). It’s very hard and frustrating to configure. It was a lost of time to try to implement this plugin.

Not as good as they promise

iDeal, for me the most important component of the plugin, does not work. It sends API requests to Stripe by the dozen per hour, but not when my customers need one. And if it does, it changes so fast the order bounces as failed in my system. On the other side it does not trigger email notifications for me as website owner, so how can I trust it sends email to customers? I lost a lot of money using this plugin, but since there is no better option for me, I had to switch off iDeal in the hope they fix it, I send numerous error logs, but so far they cannot solve it. I get different error messages every time, Some are mentioned here as wel, and if I do get any at all!! Because sometimes I do not even get one, and most payments don’t even make it to the Stripe Dashboard.
It is like Russian Roulette, sometimes it works, most times it does not. Other payments options seem work good, only iDeal does not work. Most of my cleintes pay per iDeal so I am in trouble.
When I try the Stripe checkout it does not even show on the checkout page, so something is wrong when it comes to iDeal on every action of this plugin.
I have tried their other plugin, and tried iDeal through Paypal and it is the same story, the payment for iDeal does not show for customers, and those instructions don’t even resemble by far how the dashboard looks, and fields for webhooks and buttons are missing, and again iDeal is not working.
I use Classispress and Classis Woocommerce. But that should not matter since they claim compatibility. It is pure a problem in de plugin with the Api requests.

It looks like some time ago webtoffee sold this plugin to themehigh… It got worse. After installing themehigh application in stripe we are redirected to page where they state that we need to purchase premium in order to connect our webiste to stripe, which is not true:

Thank you for installing the ThemeHigh App. With this app, you can set up the Stripe payment gateway in WordPress/WooCommerce installations to accept payments for your eCommerce website.
This app requires the premium version of the WooCommerce Stripe Payment Plugin by ThemeHigh to be installed and activated on your WooCommerce store.
- Once you have your plugin activated in your WordPress dashboard, go to the General Settings of the ThemeHigh Stripe plugin and click on the Connect to ThemeHigh App button.
- Follow the onscreen instructions, review the permissions and click “Install app.
- Once the connection is established, it will pass ThemeHigh keys to API server and connection with ThemeHigh Stripe App would be established.
