with the help of the team and numerous discussions I figured out a solution to exclude the variations from the pinterest feed… thanks again for a great plugin!
I am sorry to give feedback this way: somehow I am not allowed to create a new issue on the support page.
After successfully connecting this plugin to Pinterest, we received an email from Pinterest with this message:
Some of your products from Made by Pinterest for WooCommerce on [redacted] (NL|nl|EUR) will no longer be published after March 13, unless you resolve data ingestion issues before that date. Until then, you will see outdated product information.
The error is: Some images could not be downloaded because requests to the image host’s server are rate-limited. HTTP status code: 429.
So the way the plugin tells Pinterest to add products to the catalog causes an overload of requests to the webserver
This plugin completely flooded our Action Scheduler with thousands of background jobs, eventually causing database bloat and timeouts. Cleanup became a manual and time-consuming process because the housekeeping cron job timed out during cleanup.
If you care about performance and stability on a production WooCommerce site, avoid this plugin. The background job handling is not safe at scale.
Don’t use!
This plugin I believe was the culprite for my site going down. I fixed by going into host control panel and disabling all plugins and then was able to log back in and delete all the WooCommerce plugins. I had to reactive WooCommerce first then was able to delete. Pinterest wouldn’t delete at first until I activated WooCommerce first. Pinterest for WooCommerce not recommended.
The plugin works well, it is easy to configure and connect to Pinterest.
