Seemed like a good idea to try this plugin at first, since the awesome Blocksy free theme recommended it at one time. But as you will eventually find out, the hard way, there are some real basic bugs having to do with updating/saving pages and the CSS gets broken, and is a pain in the *** to troubleshoot. And the icing on the cake is zero support from the dev on the support threads for their plugin. Looks like they didn’t make enough money from their premium paid version so basically just stopped working on the project. They keep releasing new versions, but at you’ll see, there are crickets a’chirping on the support here at wordpress.org.
BTW – Blocksy theme switched over to recommending Stackable block manager plugin, which is vastly superior to Qubely. Use that or Spectra if you need a reliable block managers with ongoing support.
And good luck trying to switch over from Qubely to another block manager… Qubely makes it really tricky to just switch blocks to other. locked rows, locked rows, locked rows…
We paid for Qubely PRO and they shutdown the product without noticing paid customers and you can’t use it anymore as you can generate licence key and also as issue with last version of WordPress. I highly recommed to stay from any Themeum products.
If you use WordPress 6.6+, this plugin doesn’t work anymore and there’s zero information if the developers will ever take care of that. None of the blocks are recognized by the system anymore. Therefore, you can only change them in the code editor or as an HTML block.
At first I read the devs got caught up in the Internet shutdown in Bangladesh and that was the reason for their silence. Now the rumor is the company has given up on Qubely and Qubely Pro (which they are still selling on their website) without informing their customers.
Contacting support resulted in a cryptic response. I decided to jump ship to a different plugin instead.
In other words: Save yourself some time and look elsewhere.
Unfortunately, yet another WordPress accordion plugin with no accessibility considerations…
The plugin has pretty plugins that work well, most of the time. The Qubely tooltip, for instance, only works if there is a Qubely accordion on the same page (It does work in page builder editor but not once published).
The accordion itself works better now but like in the past, sometimes doesn’t let me delete another accordion panel (default = 2) or doesn’t let me change the setting ‘Open First Item’.
