You can even use Weaver Show Sliders as a Slide Show replacement for the standard WordPress [gallery] shortcode.

Too complex

It does not work for me. I had a photo slider and then it was all gone. (In Weaver Xtreme theme).
To process to create a slider is very complex.
Now I use an other plugin that is working intuitive and performing very well in the Weaver Xtreme website.

This slider is just awesome!
True, it’s interface is a bit less intuitive and slightly more nerdy than most other sliders, but:
- it’s the only slider I could find that correctly displays shortcode content inside a post. I have a calendar plugin and wanted to display in the header-slider a slide with upcoming events. All other plugins failed, this one does the job
- you get a lot more options and control than in other more streamlined and simplified slider plugins. Invest a bit more time to get it all set up and working, and it will pay off!

this is the only slider(free) I could find which able to get the query of custom post type and its taxonomy and responsive as well. Hope there is an update soon. Thanks!

This is the Slider companion plugin to the ATW Show post Plugin.
For once you get a Slider plugin that not only is fully responsive (a must in today’s mobile device world) but (thanks to its ATW Show Post companion) can be used to slideshow pretty much any content.
It of course works with images (including the WordPress gallery), but because it also works with posts and because of the amazing capabilities of the Show Post counterpart, you can slide any post or custom post type content in many different ways.
As usual with this developer’s products, the amount of customizability is second to none even if some of them are part of a pro option. Multiple display options like slide, fade or carousel, multiple paging options including thumbnails, multiple navigation style (pro) etc… And of course possibility to add any Custom CSS to go beyond all the options available.

For me there is no better slider than ATW Show Sliders. It combines multiple features in one powerful slider. No matter if you are looking for a post, advertisement or image slider. Works perfect on my theme I use – so no need to install any framework or use a specific theme, but you need to have http://wordpress.org/plugins/show-posts/ installed additionally to get the entire power released.
There is also a PRO version out but most people may already be satisfied with the standard functionality.
