Overview
You can now replace an existing sidebar (widget area) with a custom sidebar for one or group of pages. The content of the new sidebar will be displayed on the exact same spot as the one you select to replace only for those pages you selected.
Once created all custom sidebars will be available in Appearance -> Widgets. You can drop any number of widgets in any of your custom sidebars. They work exacly the same way as the default once.

Not working unfortunatelly

It does not work … I had a new WP install and tried to use this to change the sidebar on blog page … it created the sidebar, but it DOES NOT replace the standard sidebar, even everything was properly selected and double checked in the plugin settings.
Roles are making this plug-in interesting

It took me a while to understand that most plug-ins of this kind do not allow to define widget areas depending on the user role. So while this plug-in is rather simple overall, this feature makes it stand out.

We have tried many sidebar plugins, some of them are good but not always compatible with other plugins or themes. Sidebar Manager Light therefore is working properly on all our sites (20+) and is very user friendly, all it takes is a few clicks to create a new sidebar….well done!!
