Came across this a few years ago when I knew nothing about WordPress, installed it, and used the plugin on every website Ive designed ever since. Now I need a category option which is not available in this. I will get it added by a coder, but right now I want to give big big credit to the developer of this little gem.
The plugin is super handy for adding content that gets dropped or shoved about when you change your theme.

This plugin comes in quite handy when you want to add a WP Bakery Visual Composer editor to a standard WordPress Widget – for example in the footer of a website you can use Visual Composer to manage the content for a styled UL or make a theme column display multiple columns. Highly recommend this!

This is useful in so many scenarios. After using this plugin for a day I can’t imagine what development would be without it. I plan to install it on all future websites. Big thanks to the author for creating this; he responded really quickly to update it for compatibility with Visual Composer. Highly recommended.
