Our group created a website with multi-stage filters, that links to various NGOs for donation. We needed a filter category for “topic”, “location” and “tax deduction”. Surprisingly, most filterable portfolio grids focus a lot on style and animation, but not at all on features like exentdable filter functions.
We are very happy to have found “WP Ultimate Post Grid” which is highly customizable. While the design out of the box might look a bit old school, you have all the possibilities to style the filters and result “tiles” however you want.

A flexible, customisable filter grid for posts and CPTs, it’s very good. Great out of the box but if you want to customise it and have some CSS/dev knowledge it’s quite easy. A recent issue I had with CSS transitions was dealt with very promptly by Brecht, who replied within 10 minutes and provided the solution later the same day. Check it out.

I was disparing that I would have to code this again.

The plugin works great and has a lot of flexibility in terms of layout, filtering, and responsive settings. As important, the support is incredible. Support tickets are responded to quickly and have always addressed my issues. In one case, I was able to test a feature that will be included in a future release that resolved an issue. The premium version of this plugin is well worth the modest cost.
