I’ve bought a package from Think Up Themes that includes this theme. Every TUT theme is very complicated to use. Some options are dependent of some other that is not logically arranged. You can’t do much to change default look and make what you need, and even simple things like fonts, colors and menus are painful or impossible to set up as you like. Also, themes ARE NOT yours forever, as they stated on their web site, because when subscription expires, you can’t install your key on new web sites. Waste of money.
We bought the complete pack of available themes cause we have more sites.
Imediately we had a problem of sharp slowdown of the setting menu of every website and we contacted the support.
They replied it is a problem of ours and to check how to install a theme.
We uninstalled the themes using then others for free and the setting menus began to work again properly, so, due to this result without their support, we asked for a refund: NEVER REPLIED DESPITE OUR MANY MESSAGGES !!!
Be patient: you will have the right way how to spend the money we paid you.
If it were the possibilty to evaluate -100, we did.
Enjoy you, guys !!
I used this theme to build my first WordPress website. The theme looks great and is easy to customise, there area lot of features that made building my first site 10 times easier.
I have contacted support a few times and they have been helpful.
The only thing I didnt like with the theme that was fixed with a plugin (Stop Generating Unnecessary Thumbnails) is the amount of thumbnails being generated.
WordPeress + WooCommerce + Theme = 31 different images sizes being generated.
I paid for the Pro version and incurred in an issue with expired key error.
Opened two different support tickets and didn’t get a meaningful response in two months.
I highly regret to have built an entire website relying on this theme.
Don’t buy this theme if you expect any support. I emailed them, they couldn’t even tell me what php file the entry-footer meta for homepage blog display was so I could install a plugin feature to that area.
The plugin was for POST VIEW COUNT display. Right, this theme doesn’t even display post view counts…wtf?
So I provided them with the short 1 line of PHP code the plugin supplied me. I emailed support, asking what php file is the entry-footer meta in? They told me to ask the plugin provider LOL! As if plugin provider would know Alante theme file structure…! Too bad I’m a noob, took me 3 hours to figure out on my own, after waiting all day for support to tell me to screw off.
You can see they don’t answer anything in the wordpress support forums. Don’t expect email to be any better if you buy PRO. They can’t answer most simple questions.
There are 100 themes that do basically same exact thing as these themes. The ones with good support are popular and rated highly.
Notice alante has like 15 versions? All almost exactly the same! They just flood the same crap to try and get customers by SPAMMING basically.
Then they have a bunch of other themes with different names and again, basically the same exact thing!
