Great “boilerplate”

I’m using Blockbase as a parent theme in new projects. This makes it quite easy to just start with a Gutenberg experience from the start.

The benefit: A great WP basic experience with really fast and good looking websites. Nearly 100% at PageSpeed Insights out of the box (combined with EWWW and WP Rocket)

Ruins multisite install

I’ve tried this theme two times. The first time I did not notice it was the base of ruining my multisite install. Somehow it started a critical error when trying to switch themes. It wasn’t until after I noticed in the database table theme_mods for some theme that was empty that I could fix the issue. Now it happened again. It also deleted my upgrade to WordPress 5.8 beta 2 on my test site and yet again made it impossible to switch to a theme. I have to do a re-install of my WordPress multisite tomorrow due to this error.

Update! It was not due to this theme, it had to do with Gutenberg plugin. Sorry. I am changing my rating of this theme.
