Minimalist(ish)

The last time I use WP was 3 years ago, but I had  fun experience with this theme. Just like its name, Minimalistix is a minimalist theme, but the way WP built, especially Gutenberg, it still needs some learning. It’s beautiful and has many spaces.

The theme’s author is quick to respond when I’m asking about text alignment.

Full control of site design but…

I love it for the design control as you get to customize almost every last
detail of your site. The main cons to me are that:

  1. you constantly need to hop between the post or page you’re actually working on and the template for that post/page;
  2. you lose complete access to the WordPress native menu builder (unless there’s something I’m missing);
  3. like many themes and plugins, after buying the paid version, you’re still short of some promoted features and are mesmerized by messages in the admin area to spend more on this or that.
