As of April 2026, Nirvana is a WordPress theme with 10K+ active installations and a 4.3/5 rating from 69 reviews. It has been downloaded 775K+ times in total. Requires WordPress false+ and PHP 5.6+. Available on WordPress.org since 2014. Recently updated within the last 3 months. Top alternative: Twenty Twenty-Five.
I’ve been using this theme since about 2015 and its been very reliable, flexible and not let me down. The updates have been frequent enough so far and everything works as far as I’ve detected. I requested the menu to be made navigable by keyboard and the cryout were kind enough to add it in version 1.6.2. Excellent for a free theme.
Slightly concerned about no updates for two years now, however all websites are still working fine from a usability perspective. I hope they keep it compatible with at least wordpress version 6, as changing the theme on many websites will take me a lot of time.
It used to be really good. Not anymore! The last update of this theme was more than a year ago (October 29, 2021), causing now major problems on Core Web vitals in Google Search Console. I would have paid for a premium version, but this option is not available. Now I have to change this theme.
A great theme indeed, full of options, many of them are not easily available on most free themes! I am very satisfied thus i should give it easily 5 stars!
However i will give 4 stars (for now), for one reason only:
In presentation page (which acts as home page) the “columns” section is not responsive on mobile devices if they are on “animated” mode. To be more specific, the columns themselves (and their images) ARE responsive! However, the full animation is not.
It is one image cut in 4 pieces (as seen in the Nirvana demo), each one for a different column and it is brilliant and beautiful!!!
But on mobile devices it shows one image below the other and all this beauty is gone…
Now, i am not sure if this is a mobile bug (i am a computer person and i dislike mobiles, so i don’t really know their tech secrets), however i can’t believe that there is no solution for such a simple thing (i have searched the forums too)!
So, once this is fixed (or at least, explained why it can’t be fixed) i will return here and give the 5 stars that this theme truly deserves! 🙂
The best theme to cope with elementor, in my opinion.
I’ve used Nirvana for several years and I really like it.
